Share A Story with Miss Christine

5 Wednesdays beginning 7/23/25-$5/week Summer Unit<br>Share A Story ages 3-5 @9-9:40<br>Share A Story ages 6-9 @10:00-10:40<br><br>Half show and tell, half creative writing, 100% a great time! Kids will each bring an object to class, tell us about it, then we will create a story together utilizing their objects to think up a completely unique adventure! It’s a fun filled way to encourage public speaking, creative expression, and out of the box thinking!

Private English / Language Arts / Public Speaking Tutoring with Miss Meaghan

Lessons are held in 30-, 45-, or 60-minute increments.<br><br>Cost:<br>30 minute lesson: $25<br>45 minute lesson: $35<br>60 minute lesson: $45<br><br>Proofreading, grammar, essay writing, creative writing, speech writing, public speaking, reading comprehension, phonics, phonemic awareness, test prep, paragraph writing, figurative language, and much more. These are 1:1 lessons where we will focus on the skill of your choice and help build confidence in the art and science of the English Language.<br><br>You will choose the exact date/time of your lesson with the teacher after you process the purchase.

English from the Roots Up with Miss Meaghan (Grade: 3-6+)

Every Week 3:30-4:00pm except July 16th and August 1st<br>Wednesdays and Fridays<br>$5 per class session<br><br>a class diving into the inner workings of English, exploring how this language comes together from the pieces of many others, while making connections between words and creating our own. Using Greek and Latin roots, we’ll take English apart and put it back together to understand a multitude of words like never before.<br><br>Approximate Grade Level: 3-6+<br><br>Prerequisites:<br>Able to read and understand most of the words they read<br>Able to ask questions about the words they do not understand<br>Able to think critically about things by breaking them down into parts (we'll do lots of this in class)

Sentence Diagramming with Miss Meaghan (Grade: 2-4+)

Every Week 2:45-3:15pm except July 16th August 1st<br>Wednesdays and Fridays<br>$5 per class session<br><br>a class diving into the inner workings of language in a concrete way, using stories as a portal to understanding. We’ll make it concrete using shapes and storytelling. Using the traditional Montessori sentence diagramming symbols, we’ll explore everything from subjects and predicates to adverbial phrases.<br><br>Approximate grade level: 2-4+<br><br>Prerequisites:<br>Knows and thoroughly understands parts of speech<br>Can construct sentences on their own in some manner<br>Able and willing to listen to stories about sentence structure and grammar

Grammar Tells a Story with Miss Meaghan (Grade: K-1+)

Every Week 2-2:30pm except except July 16th August 1st<br>Wednesdays and Fridays<br>$5 per class session<br><br>a class diving into the inner workings of language in a concrete way, using stories as a portal to understanding. We’ll learn about parts of speech, their relationships to one another, and connect them all together using shapes and storytelling. Using the traditional Montessori grammar symbols, we’ll explore everything from nouns to interjections.<br><br>Approximate grade level: K-1+<br><br>Prerequisites:<br>Able and willing to listen to stories about parts of speech<br>Able to distinguish between shades of a color and different types of shapes<br>Able to decode at least some words phonetically, and is a beginning reader at the least.

Literacy the Montessori Way with Miss Meaghan (Adults)

Every Week 6:30-7:30pm except Aug 1<br>Fridays<br>$10 per class session<br><br>a workshop voyaging into the depths of phonemic awareness and understanding, writing, and reading, in either print or cursive, using the Montessori reading curriculum.<br><br>From learning letter sounds and auditory-only sound games through letterforms, sounding out to begin writing, blending out to begin reading, and beyond, learn to support your child’s English literacy journey.<br><br>This class is recommended for ADULTS who want to guide a child in their reading journey. This class is NOT intended for children.
